A family home is shaped by many different personalities, routines and needs. Villa Kunterbunt was conceived as a complete interior architecture concept for the entire house — bringing these individual requirements together within one coherent spatial and material language.

Rather than applying a predefined aesthetic, the design developed around the family itself. Colour, material, bespoke elements and carefully considered spatial relationships create an interior with character and individuality, while maintaining a sense of continuity throughout the house.

The concept extended across both the shared and private areas of the residence. Each space was considered as part of the whole, allowing rooms with very different functions and degrees of privacy to remain connected through proportion, materiality and architectural detail.

The entire interior fit-out was developed specifically for the project and custom-made. Built-in furniture and architectural elements were therefore not treated as additions to the rooms, but as integral parts of the interior architecture. Storage, function and everyday requirements could be absorbed into the architecture, allowing the spaces themselves to remain clear and composed.

The images published here intentionally focus on the shared areas of the house. The private rooms formed an equally important part of the overall concept but remain unpublished out of respect for the family’s privacy.

What can be seen is therefore only part of the project.

Behind it lies a complete interior architecture developed for an entire home — from its spatial and material concept to the bespoke elements that give each room its individual character while connecting it to the whole.

Villa Kunterbunt is ultimately about creating unity without uniformity: a home capable of reflecting different personalities while still feeling unmistakably like one place.
