The old apartment in a popular district of Frankfurt felt cramped upon entering. This was caused by a very narrow corridor with a ceiling height of 3.30 meters.

The clients dreamed of a Scandinavian atmosphere... as if in Copenhagen.

These two challenges led to a design where the focal point is the corridor, which serves as both an entrance and a link between the living and sleeping areas.

We particularly appreciate the design of the kitchen. It demonstrates that a difficult spatial proportion — very narrow and very high — can accommodate a functional kitchen that feels like a cheerful oasis rather than a technical space.
